Viola Paulett Towler, affectionately known as "Diyah" was born on April 28, 1947 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Albert Small and Ethel Simmons. She was the oldest of their six children. Diyah was 12 years old when she moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey.
In 1964, the month of August Diyah met the love of her life, Herbert H. Towler, Sr. Four months later they were joined in holy matrimony on December 12, 1964 and to this union a child was born, Herbert H. Towler, Jr.
Diyah and Herbert was a match made in heaven. They both were hard workers and worked until they both retired and then to Diyah's birthplace, Savannah, GA. where they lived a very happy retired life.
Diyah is survived by her loving husband devoted 54 years, Herbert H. Towler, Sr.; son, Herbert H. Towler, Jr.; one sister, Alberta (Samuel) Thomas of Richmond, VA; one sister-in-law, Alice Small of Princeton, NJ; aunt, Corrine Collins of Savannah, GA and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the Chapel
