Nathaniel "Curley" Hamilton Lowman, Sr. was born November 18, 1945 to the late London, Sr. and Annie Mae Wade Lowman. Nathaniel received his early education in the Chatham County School System. He later became a 1963 graduate of A.E. Beach High School. After graduation, he attended Savannah State University, receiving his B.S. in Business Management. Later, he joined the U.S. Army, serving a grateful nation for several years. After being honorably discharged, Nathaniel started working at Gulf Stream as a senior Mechanic, where he retired after 20 years of service. Nathaniel was the husband of the late Joann Miller Lowman. Nathaniel was loved by many and known by the name of "Curley".
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memory: son, Nathaniel Lowman, Jr.; daughter, Felicia Lowman; sisters, Jacquelyn Ferguson, Anna B. Williams (Roy), Betty Parker (Jackie), and Brenda Lowman; brothers, Willie Ferguson (Brenda), Alfred Ferguson and Harold Lowman; aunt, Ida Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends
